The Baby Is Due!

When nine months of a pregnancy is up, everyone associated with the baby that is due is ready for the birth to take place.

Expectant mothers can not stop thinking about holding their little bundle of joy. Dad’s can’t wait to actually see their child instead of having to read magazines or go to classes on how to take care of a new-born. Grandmothers can’t wait to love a child without the responsibility of having to discipline them and Grandfathers can’t wait to look into the eyes of the Grandchild reminding them of the years they looked into their child’s eyes as a baby.

Baby’s create excitement, but they also create work and change lives forever.

Before you get any ideas, no my wife isn’t pregnant. However, we feel that we have been on a process for the last year and a half which will result in a baby being birthed in six days.

On Sunday (September 19th 2010), Generation Church will be birthed. We have already done lots of work. We’ve gathered an incredible team of committed, passionate people, we’ve invested our lives, money and what feels like our souls into this church. We’ve done the preview services and connection events. However, it is this Sunday that I have been looking forward to for over 18 months.

As with any baby, no-one knows what it will ultimately look like. All we know is that our DNA will be in the church’s DNA. We don’t know how it will grow, all we know is that if we stay healthy then the church has a great chance to stay healthy. We don’t know how our lives will be affected, all we know is that our lives will never go back to how they once were.

Sunday is a new chapter, Sunday is a day to celebrate, Sunday is a dream becoming reality, Sunday is the start of a church which desires to give life!

So if you are in the Baltimore area, then come a check us out at 10:30am on Sunday. Click here to get directions.

I’ve enjoy the last 18 months immensely. We’ve meet new friends, transformed good friendships into great ones, increased in faith and increase our urgency to tell the world about Jesus Christ.

I can’t wait for Sunday!
